Update 2012

Helping people find significance and confidence in their life.

That is what we do and why we are here.

The lies of Satan run deep:
I’m worthless. I’ve messed up too much.
I should be very afraid of God. He doesn’t like me.
There is no hope for someone like me.
It’s too late, I can’t change.

These are lies we teach our clients to battle.
We teach them to remember and rehearse:
I was worth something for Jesus to die for me.
God is a God of love. He loves me and is for me.
I have a hope through what Jesus did for me.
Through God, I can find the power to change. It’s not too late.

You can share this message, too. People all around you need to know these truths. Maybe you need to rehearse them as well.

The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Tim. 1:7

What is Spiritual Direction?


We define Christian spiritual direction as help given by one Christian to another which enables that person to pay attention to God’s personal communication to him or her, to respond to this personally communicating God, to grow in intimacy with this God, and to live out the consequences of the relationship. Is it the same as counseling?
Although very similar, spiritual direction provides a place to deal with issues that remain hidden and dark within a person’s soul, many times issues that have been suppressed for so long that the person doesn’t fully realize how much it is affecting them. Counseling’s primary focus is on a plan of action to deal with the effects of woundedness within a person’s life. We will sometimes refer to a counselor when a more clinical, psychological approach would be more beneficial. Spiritual direction’s primary focus is to teach people how to let God accompany them through all of their life, including their past pain. By companioning people in their pain, they will gain confidence from His presence and power.
